He is also quite well-known for his flute collection and performance of “flutes fantastic” – a very entertaining recital where he plays his famous rendition of 50 Variations on the "Carnival of Venice” for 60 flutes. Trevor Wye has taught at the Guildhall School of Music, London and the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester. He teaches at his “Flute Studio” in Kent where he offers a one year residential course for post-graduate students.
